"who are you ?" or "who am I?" is one of the most sensitive question of life. Most times people answer this question basically saying their name and then, they start introducing all their achievement or level or job or the business they own. Well, I have thought of this question over and over again most especially when things don't go as planned.

I have read stories of different people whose life was determined by their friends to the extent that their life decision was defined by them too... Not only that, I have seen people who because someone abused them they believe that they are worthless or they can't achieve anything.
however, who you are should not be determined by others rather it should be our own decision and choice to determine who we are!!
I term the question "who are you" or "who am I" as the question of the mind because we can define who we want to be just by thinking of it and acting like it. The mind has the power of tricking us, by making us act out our thoughts unknowingly.
Achieving who we want to be in life starts basically from the mind.
To identify who you are, starts with;
Defining your thought.
believing in it.
working towards achieving your thought.
I have made some personal observation and I found out that when someone is positive to him or herself and clear about their goals they easily achieve them and hence they are not affected by others view. Defining your thought has to do with you identifying what you really want to be, being positive about it, believing that you can do it.
Everything doesn't stop there, it continues with us working towards achieving who we want to be. I have heard someone say 'I want to be the best in my class', but the person lacked the willpower to sacrifice the moment enjoyment for the future achievement. Working towards achieving your thought takes time, sacrifice, determination and discipline.
Being able to define who you really are is very important in life. It helps you identify your goals, your objective and it leads you towards making them come into reality.
Finally, never let others define who you are, rather choose who you want to be and remember the saying "I am not what happened to me, I am who I choose to be" Carl Jung.
Thank you for reading.
